Toms River Promotional Process Prep
Sergeant & Lieutenant Candidates
The Toms River promotional process is more than a written test. Your preparation should be more than a study packet.
This course is built specifically for Toms River Police Department Sergeant and Lieutenant candidates and is designed to help you prepare for all three phases of the promotional process: the Command Staff Presentation, the Written Examination, and the Assessment Phase. The promotional announcement requires candidates to demonstrate supervisory potential through specific scored categories, including attitude toward work, bearing and demeanor, problem solving and judgment, leadership, management of responsibilities, employee monitoring and evaluation, and supervisory skills.
At PCAT, we help candidates prepare with structure, strategy, and real-world supervisory application so they can walk into each phase with a plan.
What This Course Covers
Phase One: Command Staff Presentation
We help you organize your presentation in the required order, develop strong talking points, avoid generic answers, and present yourself as a confident, prepared, and capable future supervisor.
Phase Two: Written Examination
We help you study smarter by focusing on testable material, supervisory principles, legal topics, policy application, report writing, and proven test-taking strategy. Attorney General Guidelines, case law, and Title 2C material are included.
