Captain’s Oral Examination Preparation

This one on one program is built specifically for candidates preparing for the New Jersey Civil Service Captain’s oral exam. It includes a minimum of eight personalized sessions designed to help you earn the best possible score — a 5 out of 5 in each category of response and tactics.
The oral examination accounts for 49 percent of your overall score, making focused and strategic preparation essential.
The format is primarily virtual, allowing for flexibility and consistent coaching, with the final two sessions held in person to simulate exam conditions and sharpen your delivery in a live setting.
Each candidate will receive:
Targeted coaching on leadership, critical thinking, decision making, and communication, all tailored to the Captain’s role.
Scenario-based training aligned with NJ Civil Service testing formats, including structured responses and complex command-level decision making.
